"EVENING DESCENDING IN THE ORCHARD"A gift to New Avenues for Youth from the Michael and Judith Gibbons Trust in memory and gratitude for the life of Joyce Furman, friend, lover of creation, patron of the arts, and angel among us.
Since my first sight of the Columbia River Gorge as a young boy, long before the freeway was built, I have loved the experience of just being there. Truly this is one of God’s earthly inspirations. ©2007-2010 Gallery Michael Gibbons |
A QUIET VOICE IN A NOISY WORLD Like many of my dedicated artist friends, what I was to do with my life was apparent to me as far back as I can remember. It wasn’t until my early twenties that inquisitiveness and crisis collided, giving birth to opportunity. At that point I could strip enough of other people’s expectations away to see clearly the path I was born for. Now, in my seventh decade, I am comfortable with my reason to be and with my life, I am.”
