Winner of 2008 Yaquina River Museum of Art Benefit

Shirley and Mark O’Donnell of Albany, Oregon, winners of the 2008 benefit from the Yaquina River Museum of Art, Toledo, are shown receiving the prize oil painting entitled “AZAELAS AND BLUEBELLS” by artist Michael Gibbons. The Museum sponsors art education programs for the Newport and Toledo schools and makes a residency program available to mature artists. Gibbons has donated a painting to the benefit each year since the Museum’s founding in 2003.
The Museum exhibit opening on May 1 will feature Porcelain Dolls by Maxine Moodie and a Vintage Jewelry Show. The public is invited to a wine and cheese reception from 5:00pm - 7:00pm to meet the artist. The School House is located at 151 NE Alder St., Toledo, in the Legacy Arts Terrace.
